The Brightwater School Kindergarten will continue to be a standalone Kindergarten designed specifically for Kindergarten aged children. However, we will no longer be offering sessional care operating 40 weeks of the year. Commencing from 11/01/2021, the Kindergarten will operate as a Long Day Care service, running for 51 weeks of the year (including school holidays) from 7.30am to 5.00pm.

Our program will continue to encompass the national Early Years Learning Framework and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines. Bella Grace Kindergarten programs support a play-based approach that incorporates your child’s interests into rich learning experiences which encourage curiosity, wonder and a disposition for learning. Our programs include development of important social, emotional and cognitive skills throughout the Kindergarten year.

The Brightwater School Kindergarten works collaboratively with Brightwater Primary School, creating a smooth transition to formal education. The service is well resourced and staffed with Qualified Early Childhood teachers and educators who are passionate about early education.

The following changes to the Kindergarten will commence 11th January 2021: • Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided • Extra curricula activities will be provided to all children each term • Families will be required to apply for Child Care Subsidy (CCS) through Centrelink. CCS is paid by the Federal Government to assist families with their childcare fees. Fees will be $118 per day however families will only be required to pay the gap amount after CCS has been applied.
