Michelle Alback

Brightwater Director & Nominated Supervisor

My name is Michelle, I am the Director/Nominated Supervisor for Bella Grace Brightwater.

I grew up here on the Sunshine Coast and have recently moved back after working and living in Brisbane for the last 24 years. I am a Mother and a Nana, to my son and my two beautiful Granddaughters.

I have been in the Early Learning Sector for the last 18 years. I started as an assistant in a Nursery Room then worked and studied my way to Lead Educator, Centre Manager, Area Manager and Acting State Manager. I am delighted to be working for Bella Grace and this beautiful centre here in Brightwater.

In this early childhood environment, we support a play-based approach to education. Play is the primary context through which young children learn, and our teachers are encouraged to be aware of shifts in interest to support learning and wellbeing. Our passionate team interact with the children in our environment to determine the learning we undertake; we discuss creative ideas and perspectives, question practicalities and feasibilities, share experiences and build connections.

Children are born with enquiring minds. They are anxious to learn, and every child deserves the opportunity to learn in a safe, supportive and happy environment – an environment free from prejudice and discrimination – celebrating difference. Through shared knowledge, understanding and experiences I plan to lead our teachers, parents and community members, collaborating an holistic approach to the growth and development of all of our children.
