  • Be Safe

At Bella Grace Beerwah, our safe learning environments are developed in collaboration with children, families, and educators and reflected with management and our community to ensure they create opportunities for independence, challenge enquiry, and encourage each child’s discovery. By providing a safe environment and safe practices, we are advocating for the well-being of all children within our service and the greater community. We recognise that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are the first Australians and custodians of the land, and we strive to embed love and care in our country through our daily practices. We promote an understanding of our local Gubbi Gubbi people and connect through learning journeys and our physical environments. We acknowledge the Glasshouse Mountains and our safe tree as safe natural environments in our community and embed this knowledge through our daily practises.

We value our community connections and, through their teachings, develop strategies that support our children, families, and local community.

    Be Fair

Educators share a common understanding of our service's commitment to inclusion and believe in inclusivity regardless of children’s abilities, culture, gender, or beliefs. Our approach to play-based learning and the creation of our learning environments promote individual children’s development and growth. We respect family voices and reflections to promote a collaborative culture celebrating diversity and individuality. We support children in navigating their environments and create opportunities where children reflect on what they are wanting to achieve and why. At Bella Grace Beerwah, all voices matter, are heard and are respected.

    Kind & Caring

Our authentic partnership with the families, our community, and our land shapes our genuine relationships with the children in our care. As a rural community, we understand the importance of kindness and caring interactions with our land, animals, friends, and ourselves and acknowledge that we are the emerging caretakers of our shared land. Our educators intentionally teach sustainable practices and model our core beliefs about a sustainable world through our daily interactions. At Bella Grace Beerwah, our educators create opportunities to reflect on social justice, inclusion, and belonging with the children and challenge our wider communities to join us in critical reflection. Educators understand the importance of personal well-being, reflect on self-regulation, and plan opportunities where children can learn how to be kind and caring to themselves.

    How are you Feeling?

We value open, honest, and respectful communication and take pride in collaborating with families to build trusting partnerships. We acknowledge that parents are children’s first teachers and strive to provide a safe environment where everyone is heard, valued, and supported. Our nurturing relationships with children allow us to build on their self-esteem, confidence, empathy, and well-being while acknowledging their individual needs. Our environments are reflected in this and adapted to meet all emotional needs to prepare and develop skills for future learning. We encourage open conversations about our feelings and create strategies that support self-regulation and the ability to ask for help. We, as a team, invite and collaborate with professionals within our community to build on educators’ skills that will in turn support our children, families, community, and educators’ well-being. At Bella Grace Beerwah, we value healthy communication and understand the importance of emotional support and understanding for all.

I'm Jacqui, with over 20 years in Early Childhood education. The most rewarding part of my work is seeing a child reach their goal and the joy it brings them. I'm passionate about inclusion and helping children regulate their emotions, which has inspired me to pursue a Bachelor of Social Work.
