We pay our respects to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ancestors of this land and waterways, their spirits, and their legacy. The foundations laid by these ancestors - our First Nations Peoples - gives strength, inspiration, and courage to current and future generations, both Indigenous and non- Indigenous, towards creating an educational curriculum which may be embedded into our early learning centre programs for a better Reconciliation. We acknowledge The Traditional Owners and Elders of the Gubbi Gubbi people from the past, present and emerging leaders of this land which we live, learn and play on. We respect their continuing connection to land, waters, practice of cultures and family. We pay tribute to their enduring stewardship of this country, and honour their ongoing contribution to the spiritual, environmental, social, cultural, political and economic fabric of our community. This acknowledgement is integral to the process of healing, recovery and development of relationships and our shared future with The First People of Australia. Always was and Always will be.
We are committed to continuous improvement in all that we do, through mentoring, professional development, networking, critical reflections we continue to build upon educator capabilities which will enable us to fulfill our vision.
At Bella Grace Brightwater we believe children are born with enquiring minds. We know brain development in the first years of life are the foundation for lifelong learning. Children are eager to learn, and every child has the right to learn in a safe, supportive, happy environment, an environment free from prejudice and discrimination – a service that celebrates difference and cultivates uniqueness. Our vision is to increase the learning opportunities for young people in our community, responding to diversity and valuing all people equally. We aim to achieve this through our Universal Approach across the service. Early Intervention is paramount, collaboration sharing knowledge, experience, understanding, values and beliefs. Inclusive practices support access for every child and family. We adapt environments, programs, and equipment to support the inclusion of all children. We develop individual plans to support the needs of all children to ensure they are active participants in the program which is engaging, stimulating, and challenging.
Working in partnership with families and the wider community to access specialist for overall health. We believe all children should a have childhood that allows them to discover the best version of themselves. We acknowledge the importance of celebrating children’s successes and achievements. Our aim is to encourage children to find and use their voice as we foster a love for learning as their educational path begins. In relation to the NQF we believe the rights and interests of the child are paramount.
We have established a wonderful relationship within our local community. We along with the Bella Grace Kindergarten work together with local schools to support effective transitions for children. We explore our local community regularly taking small groups of children of all ages out for excursions. We consult with our wider community to gain input with pedagogy and practice to ensure we are meeting our communities need.
Educators engage in meaningful interactions with children, families and wider community and strive to build trusting relationships. Educators support children to develop confidence through positive guidance, the 3-tiered framework, and encouragement to enable them to explore and learn to their full potential.
Nutritionally balanced meals. We believe that nutritionally balanced meals are essential for children’s growth and physical development, healthy brain function, prevention of illness repair of cells/recovery from illness, good concentration, maintaining energy and overall wellbeing. We are dedicated to providing delicious nutrient-dense foods that the children can enjoy. We believe sitting down with the children engaging them in effective communication will develop self-help skills and independence. A well balanced diet supports and encourages healthy minds and bodies.
Our large natural aesthetic outdoor spaces are the foundations that invites opportunities for children to participate in play based learning experiences. These beautiful spaces are an extension of our indoor classrooms that allow children to grow and learn through individual, small group and large group settings. Children are given opportunities to set their own pace and make the decisions that will contribute to their overall development successfully.
At Bella Grace we agree that the underpinning factor in all that we do, is that the children are our priority, and our aim is to provide the best possible outcomes for all of them.
